Another edition of the Folk Stage is a mosaic of cultures, music styles and human stories.
We begin with traditional tunes from Wielkopolska (Greater Poland) region and then we move to rhythm-driven West Africa, we?ll meet with a folk-rock from Wrocław and finally land in ethno-jazz arrangements of Polish traditional songs.

Iroquois from Wielkopolska, from the reserve of traditional music from Poznan region. They bring back traditional obereks, polkas and cheers with violins, drum, accordion, double bass and clarinet accompanied by beautiful singing. Be careful ? it’s proven that after a moment of listening to their music everyone changes into a village dancer!

Polish band finding its roots in trans beat of African percussion music. Multi-colored rhythmic structures are brought to life as a vibration of air and body. They use unusual instruments like: djembe, dundun, tama, balafon, kora and shekere.

40 sons and 30 Grandsons riding on 70 donkeys. Wroclaw-based band, they describe their music as: ?a little folk, acoustic reggae with elements of heavy metal, some pop, blues and… wedding, poetic, scout-like and rock riffs ? stir and shake?. Most of their lyrics are inspired by the Bible.

Agnieszka will introduce us to a magnetic combination of folk, jazz and blues. Agnieszka is very close to traditional music which she brings perfectly to our modernist everyday reality. She mostly sings Polish folk songs, proving that folklore is never out of fashion.
