Ada Olejarka ? teacher and poet from Poznań. „In company of grown-up people I cut in on slams and glorify sadness, remorse and conflagration”

Paula Gotszlich ? poet. In 2016 she earned the Andrzej Krzycki Award, the same year she was fished out in ?Połów? (fishing) of Biuro Literackie.

15.45 Ilona Witkowska ? meeting with a person who writes poems in Sokołowsko.

Poet, author of books „Splendida realta”, awarded with 2013 Silesius Poetic Award Wrocław in the debut of the year category, and „Lucyfer zwycięża” („Lucifer wins”) nominated for the 2018 Wisława Szymborska Award.

15.00 Lynn Suh ?meeting with a person, who writes in a foreign language.

Poet and translator from Boston, Massachusetts. Currently living in Kraków. She writes in Polish and in English. She’s also a member of a cowboy band The Razcals.

15.45 Tomasz Bąk ? meeting with a person who writes poems in Tomaszów Mazowiecki.

Tomasz Bąk ? schizophrenic collective. Author of three poem books. Laurate of the Silesius Award in the debut category for the book „Kanada” („Canada”, 2011), and for book „[beep] Generation” (2016) nominated for the Wisława Szymborska Award.

15.00 Marcin Mokry ? meeting with a person who published a weird book.

Poet, author of one book ?czytanie. Pisma? („reading the Scripture”, 2017). Laureate of several literary contests

15.45 Justyna Bargielska ? meeting with a person who writes in Polish.

Poet and writer. Published in many literary magazines. Her poems were translated to English, Slovenian and Bulgarian. Nominatedfor numerous literary contests. Twice awarded with the Gdynia Literary Award: in 2010 for the „Dwa fiaty” („Two fiats”) volume of poetry and in 2011 in prose category, for the book „Obsoletki”.

SATURDAY, 14.07

15.00 Filip Zawada & Wojciech Brzoska ? meeting with people who like to read their poetry to music.

Filip Zawada ? musician, writer, photographer. He played in the bands Pustki and Indigo tree. Composed music for movies by Przemysław Wojcieszek and Bodo Kox. He published ten books, from which the „Psy pociągowe” ( „Drafting dogs”) and „Pod słońce? („Towards the sun”) were nominated to the Gdynia literary award. Double Polish Champion in archery.

Wojciech Brzoska ? music-making poet, author of eight volumes, the latest being „Jutro nic dla nas nie ma” („There’s nothing for us tomorrow”, 2017). Vocalist of the Brzoska/Marciniak/Markiewicz trio (album ?Brodzenie?, [„Fording”] 2018). In his everyday work he popularizes culture among inmates..

15.45 Krzysztof Siwczyk ? meeting with a person, who writes clear poems.

Author of ten volumes of poetry and two essayistic books. Laureate of numerous awards.

Reading practice

Poetry reading workshop. The leaders will help us open up texts and encourage to undertake difficult trips. The basis of our meetings will be among others poems by European Poets of Freedom.

Joanna Mueller ? poet, essayist, editor, mom of many. She published four volumes of poetry and two essayistic books, as well as a volume of poetry for children and a kamishibai fairy-tale. Editor of many books. Lives in Warsaw, where she also co-creates a seminar on women’s literature „Wspólny Pokój” („Common Room”).

Beata Stasińska ? publisher, editor. Co-creator and for years chief editor of the W.A.B. publishing house, shareholder of the Foksal Publishing Group. Member of the European Poet of Freedom award Jury.
